Frequently
Asked Questions
|
Q: |
What
kind of errors do you fix in my thesis? |
A: |
I offer
a comprehensive edit that includes a study and review of grammar,
punctuation, word order, and sentence and paragraph structure. I
will work to ensure your document is clear, concise and consistent
and of the highest quality. My academic proofreading / editing service
will improve word choice as may be necessary and adjust syntax to
advance the flow and readability of your discussion. I will rewrite
but also suggest changes or the addition of content. I offer comments
and suggestions as may be required on such aspects as improving headings
and sequencing and areas that may need strengthening to enhance the
impact of your document. The editing can also include a check for
compliance with APA formatting style. I offer comments and suggestions

Q: |
Can you
help me organize my chapters and paragraphs? |
A: |
I do offer
suggestions on how to improve the sequence and consistency of the
paragraphs and chapters and will advise you as to those sections
that require your further attention. |

 |
Q: |
Why did you change my font? |
| A: |
Most work
appears in the public venue with a font that makes it easy to read
but which matches a professional style. A font like Arial is hard
to read in print for any extended period of time. A better choice
is Times Roman, 12 point, which is widely accepted by journals, conference
seminars, publishers and most academic research organizations. |

Q: |
What about guidelines for manuscript format and citations? |
A: |
I check
that your work shows compliance with the appropriate writing and
formatting style – APA style. These formatting styles often
require certain setup and layout rules for theses or research reports,
but their primary function is to inform you of exactly how you must
display your references both in the text and in the bibliography.
I am familiar with APA style and can ensure your paper complies as
well as letting you know when citations may have been incorrectly
formatted or overlooked and you need to obtain details for insertion
in your work. |

Q: |
Will you check my statistics? |
A: |
I am not
a statistical expert and cannot check the accuracy of the statistics
you selected. I would refer you back to your dissertation committee
for assistance with statistical analysis. |
